The Murci is an incredible "driver", with exotic looks. The performance #'s are certainly up to par with the 200-300k supercars. I just spent an entire day driving my new Murci, and it was the most enjoyable car experience I have ever had, bar none. That being said, its not an Enzo. The Enzo has superior performance in all ranges, incredible handling, and although looks are subjective, its an Ultra -Exotic. I cant afford an Enzo, otherwise I would have one.

ps The Murci , because of its excellent aero dynamics, is only a couple of easy mods away from unreal performance. Exhaust and intake. The factory cars are highly restrictive in stock form. There is also tremendous weight savings available easily. A couple of Murci's in Japan are running into the mid 220's with minor tweaking. But we are talking stock performance #'s here, anyone can mod a car for more performance.

    Texas!
Aradune, thanks for your post. It is too bad that many "car guys" are such homers for a specific brand that they can't see past their face. You clearly said that you were giving your opinions. Moreover, opinions are like rear ends. They can and do vary. But I appreciate you sharing yours with us. You have driven more different types of cars than most of us ever will see. Thus, it is interesting to hear your prespective. Keem em coming,

    Thx, DrTax

Cool. How much? How much did the cats interfere? I'd heard only gearing was different. Any data to point to comparing both cars, or even good tests of either car?

    thanks.

A CGT just posted better lap times than an Enzo in a Sport Auto test. The Murcielago also outbraked the Enzo. The Murcielago E-gear lapped the ring in 7.43, the Cgt in 7.40. It is a stones throw from the CGT.

As for the Z06, you said a modded Z06 will beat a lambo. That post clearly shows a highly modded Z06, that did not beat the Lambo. At most, a highly Modded Z06 was even with pretty much a bone stock lambo.

I too would take an Enzo over a Murcielago.

benaustin here's what I said "A modified Z06 can compete with a stock murcie and costs 1/3 the price." Show me where I said it would beat a murcie. A stock murcie costs $300,000 +/- 5%. 300,000 divided by 3 equals 100,000. I'm allowing $50,000 for mods on the Z06, which is probably extreme.
The Z06 did compete with the slightly modified 6.0 which we know to be as quick in stock form as a stock murcie. In the future read the posts thoroughly for comprehension before responding.
Over the course of a race on a track the Enzo will outbreak the murcie. The murcie's brakes will fade after repeated use. The Enzo has carbon brakes. The murcie does not. Have you bothered to ask yourself why the racing version of the murcie uses carbon brakes?

So using your math, we can apply the same to a modified Murci.

Used Enzos are currently 1.4 million dollars, i can buy a used Murci for 200K, add even 200K in mods, and blow an Enzo away for 1/3 the price. Or i can do the same for even less with a Z06.

While I'm a Ferrari fan, I think the new Ford GT looks better than both the Enzo and the Lambo, plus it has almost as good performmance for a fraction of the purchase cost and even a smaller fraction of the maintenance cost.

I like the Gt, but it definately does not look better than either the Lambo or Enzo. Not even close.

Again, thats subjective. But I have to agree that I dont think it looks anywhere near as good as the Enzo/Lambos.

    Plus 4mpg!?
