I just noticed it yesterday when I realized when the normal commute I usually take suddenly is taking more miles than usual on the odometer. So, a quick test via an Iphone app is telling me that my odometer is showing more miles than it should and is actually xounting in kilometers instead of miles.

I don't know when it started doing this but nothing seems to be wrong with anything in the car. Just sucks thatt the car is displaying more miles per trip than it actually has and will probably affect resale value if ever I decide to sell the car

I can only suggest investigating the owners manual.

Hopefully it is a simple adjustment.

    Good luck!!!

Interesting - so it doesn't show a "km" tag? In other words, if this is a setting an owner (or tech) can change, then someone in a metric market could change it to 'miles' and pass the car off as lower kilometers on the clock?

If so...add that to the PPI list...

I live in Canada, let me know how you did this.... jk

I'm pretty sure only a tech / reprogram can do this from what I was told when importing the car into Canada from USA.

I heard a story once about a guy who lost most of his brain from a stroke and could only speak French - maybe it's like that.

But seriously, it sounds as if an ECU has taken a hit. These things happen.
Had a similar problem on the ECU for one of my yacht MAN Diesel engines. It was brought on by a low voltage condition. It suddenly recorded that the engine had 76,500 hours on it.

I would have thought that was in a tamper proof location in one or both of the ECUs so some unscrupulous dealer couldn't roll it back. However changing from miles to kilometers should be a simple reprogram "switch" that doesn't affect the actual distance traveled. Have you tried turning off the battery master for a while to see if it resets itself?

I think it started after I changed the battery so a master switch shut down might actually work

Ferrari's are very susceptible to voltage fluctuations. Mine was in the dealers from Friday to Tuesday and when I picked it up the Snow/Low Traction mode all of a sudden turned itself on. I keep mine on a CTEK battery tender whenever it's in my garage.

Happens on all the late model Ferraris occasionally, usually when trying to start with a low battery. In general, little the dealers can do about it and FAI is about the only sure cure.
