Very nice to hear about you on Fchat.
And congrats for your white FF.
I would be very glad to hear a bit of your past Ferrari experiences, driving 375, 250 TDF, Testa rossas ... Which was your favorite car and track? what about Enzo ?

All those past memories are part of the Ferrari Legend.

    congratulations!

my wife tested the FF but went with the Maserati GT Stradale instead...

She mentioned the FF being very easy to adapt to and most probably easy to live with, but could not get over the exterior styling at face-value.

I'll have to take a closer look at them.. I feel they could have avoided the hatch, alfa-look.

Very nice and love the bug detail on the bumper!

When you're ready to move on to your ninth...let me know...I'll be ready for my third. (a white FF would suit me just fine)

    It's a beautiful car!

Dear Mr. D'Orey, Dear Fritz, great to meet you on Ferrarichat. We met in The Netherlands (in Baarn) in '99/'00 and I would like to congratulate you with your spectacular FF. I had the pleasure driving the 250TDF and the 456- courtesy of the new owner. Obviously the 250TDF is a lifetime memory (drove it on Zandvoort as well) but I remember the 456 being a one-off, or modified especially for you. Am I mistaking or correct. I hope you are doing well. Warm regards, M.E. van der Meer

On a tangent, I saw 787gt in London a year or two back before it went to the US.

I agree, that make this thread very very very special. He told us stories how he was racing the TDF. Imagine todays FF technolgy and the mentality they had back in the days. I feel very priviliged that I have driven his TDF and 456 (I believe modified for F1 racers only).

That is a very cool White FF sir,

My 12 year old son thinks the FF is the coolest ferrari, we were looking at a green 458 spider today and he was like but this grey FF has red seats and is so cool. He had a recent trip in a 16M and he loved it, but still it is not a FF in his eyes. :D

I got it directly at the factory in 1997. Drove it for almost 30K miles with no problem. I loved that car. It was beautiful (british racing green) and fun to drive even if did not have all the modern eletronics my FF has. Because of that I had to pay attention all the time specially in rain.
Maybe the later models have more eletronics.
As an old Ferrari owner (my first I was 17 in 1955) I can tell you the 456GT is one of my favorities. The Pininfarina design was sober, very beautiful and top for my taste.
If I lived in the USA I would bye the about 10K miles black/cuoio 2000 456GT I just saw offered somewhere in this FerrariChat.
    Hope my sincere answer helps.

    Hi Fritz,

Unfortunately, where I live, the police put up tire chain controls with checkpoints where they actually look to see if you have the chains on. Mind you, they do this even though there is little or no snow on the road. The only exception is if you have an AWD vehicle. So, I bought a 2002 Porsche Turbo for about the same money.

Thanks again for your helpful input,

    Randy
