The SWB is one of my all time favorites. Gorgeous car.
And only 1500 cc. Of course their real advantage over the Ferraris was that their batteries were mounted within easy reach.
Slight change of subject. Here is my White FF. Dead stock except for Novitec sport exhaust and a mild (70% transmission) tint film on the windows. Maiden run across the Sonoran Desert in a moderate sandstorm gave a quart of sand in the air filters. The CEL never went on Image Unavailable, Please Login

Yes, life is wonderful with the FF and 548 Spider in this paradise that Cascais and Portugal are... My only regret is that I didn't came to Portugal 20 years ago instead of wasting my time in other places and other cars. Bouth Ferrari are divine and each time a drive one of them, in this beautiful country with the best roads, food and weather, I almost have a daily orgasm!!! Looking forward to add a new future model of Ferrari... And on the week-end of 6/7 September I will again be racing with the 458 in the mountain of Caramulo hill-climb. My goal is to be 5 seconds faster. Lots of fun!!! Have a look: motorfestival
One of biggest fears is retiring to a beautiful area I know nothing about right now, and wishing I had lived there my whole life. I think I need to add a few more stamps to my passport pronto. Beautiful vehicles and best of luck on your hill climb!

Received this from a friend, (the first F1 race in America) 1959 GP USA, 21 years old:[/QUOTE] Very impressive (fast) company you were keeping! You should record a book of memories and make millions on the lecture circuit! Keep up the great racing & memories. Best, David
Fritz, Those who saw you racing back in the 50's&60's say you were the fastest driver on the track in Brazil and as your international career in F1 and Sport/prototype prooved, one of the fastest drivers anywhere in the world as well! Now the Caramulo hill-climb is proving that the speed is still intact and that the "finess" is on the increase! Have fun on the 6/7th September and post the video! Dear Gilbert, You sent a message using my name by mistake. It was just for you to see the messages with pictures and convince you to be a member of this wonderful FerrariChat. You have to use your login next time. Thank you and abraço Fritz d'Orey
My 458 Spider has now 10 thousand miles and the tires are ok. This is a fantastic car and not a problem since new. Will be leaving now to Caramulo for the HillClimb. 3 hours drive in perfect roads in this beautiful Portugal. Will use again the GoPro and will post the results... But my FF is a passion...
I like reading this and wholeheartedly agree...the main reason I bought the 355 is because I have a weekend home close to Caramulo, and use the car mostly to get there and back from Lisbon. The roads are excellent and there are some wonderful curves on the way to my house, with excellent pavement and very few cars...a total joy. Fritz, if you're ever around the area (I'm usually there on alternate weekends), please let me know and I'll invite you to lunch in the area. Unfortunately this past weekend I wasn't there to see the Caramulo hill climb and meet you. Take care and keep on piling the miles
Hi All. I spent a wonderful week in Lisboa and Cascais... And will come back next year for sure. Portugal/Lisboa is what the French Riviera is not (anymore): friendly people, delicious fresh food, and not too many tourists, well at least in June... If you like charcoal grilled seafood and meat, you will be in heaven. I can understand why Mr D'Orey does not want to leave...
