Very nice picture Fritz I know very well the spot where it was taken. During my recent summer holidays I had the opportunity of reading your thread again from the very beginning and what extraordinary stories about Ferraris and the racing world back in the 50's. Yesterday I was with my F12 at Cascais where you live and I couldn't stop thinking that I was so close and at the same time so far from a great racing legend and a living testimony of the Ferrari history. Thank you very much for sharing with us all those fantastic stories and like someone long ago suggested you should write a book with them.

Here are a couple of pics from the 1959 Salon de l'Automobile 250 GT Berlinetta Passo Corto Competizione (Rosso Scuro Metalizzato) that you and William Sturgis raced at the 1960 Sebring 12 hours with a 6th overall and 4th in class result... It was the 1st 250 Passo Corto produced if I'm not mistaken... Best!
Yes, it was the first SWB produced and sold to an american Gordon Pennington who hired me in Modena to race it at Sebring 1960...
You are looking in Lisbon‘s direction. That’s the entrance of Tagus river. Lisbon is about 25 miles from Cascais. Portugal is paradise! Best regards
Thank you. I had this idea of the black stripe... The FF is the last PininFarina Ferrari. Now they design at the factory and they don't think that less is more... Capito?

I'm also in my seventies and these 3 will be my last and always Ferrari's 1. I love the 612 for it's forever looks and the only Ferrari to be named after a world class designer - Sca-letti. It is an early 2008 non OTO but has HGT2 handling , CC brakes and most of the other options of the OTO. Also has quilted interior in curio. Image Unavailable, Please Login
