Very nice work Tod. I love the chromed bolts.

Seems we're on a similar winter project: I have a couple of 308 seats sitting around in my house as well. They just got new hides, still working on the headrests.

Lookin' good,Tod! Can't wait to see her (and you....:) ) out and about on some Drives with us this Year!

Andreas. I gotta check out you seats, too.

I was thinking of looking for some ratty 308 Seats and Door Panels that I could get recovered in some Really nice, (Color Matching.....) Modern, Supple leather. And just keep the original Seats and Door panels stored. My Seats are in very good condition, outside of some Drivers side wear. But nothing worn through. Just surface stuff. Door panels are O.K.,too.

For that Leatherique oil, it says to coat it on the seats and cover the seats for about 24 hrs. Has some chemical reaction with the leather i guess??? Just doing what the instructions said...

The seats came out nice, but of course now i think i need to get them re-dyed. When the seats are thouroughly cleaned and oiled, you can see all the imperfections and cracks in them. GREAT! I may hold off this season and then next winter send them out to be re-dyed or posibly re-covered???

The guy i send some of my repair work to in Wooddale has a place he sends re-chroming projects too. Next time i talk to him i will get the name of the place. The bolts came out real NICE! They were about $6 or so per bolt. Much better than the new price of about $90 each.....

    wow, looks great Todd!!
I'm curious what the rechroming cost and where.. we need a few things chromed but it seem like with most items it costs more to chrome than buy new (when available).

True. When I had my bumpers chromed I got a superprice and it still was expensive. However those bumpers are pretty much unobtanium at this point.

There are tons of Plating places in and around the city. Back in the late 80's/Early '90's, when I was driving trucks. I used to drop off and pick up things getting plated all of the time. Though, after this many years, can't seem to remember where they're all at. But, there is one in Franklin Park. I believe that it's called "Belmont Plating Works". On Belmont Av. West of River Rd., as I recall. Actually, there are quite a few in Franklin Park and Schiller Park.

Then, there is one in Forest Park. I believe it is on Des Plaines Av. or Circle Av. Just abit South of the Eisenhower Xway.

And, there is another one....On either Addison St., Belmont Av., or Diversey Av., just West of the Railroad Bridges. (East of Cicero Av. Maybe even East of Pulaski Rd.)

Probably a few in the Addison, Il. Industrial Park, too. Between North Av. and Lake St. (And Rt.53 and Addison Rd.)

Also, there are dozens listed in Hemmings Motor News every Month. IMO, that would probably be your best bet. But then you'd have to mail or UPS them.
