Hey guys, I’m finally getting around to putting my center console back together and I’ve come across a black 3-prong connector that is Y’d off the passenger side wiring harness running from the back of the car toward the dash. Before I remove the tunnel again, does anyone recognize what this connector is for? I’m leaning toward it being for an option that I don’t have, but don’t want to move forward without confirming it first. The rest of the center console connections are accounted for (Reverse/auto/mirrors/parking lights/12v outlet/etc)

Good question. It looks like White/Black with white stripe/Brown with red stripe.

Does it match anything on the passenger seat? The only brown/red wire I could find is related to the "passenger presence" sensor, but the other wires colours don't match.

Where is it "Y'd" off? Would you have the plug's location in a photo?

    Do you have a coupe?

Could be the connector for either the top or rear glove box.

I can snap a picture of it tomorrow (I don’t store the car at my house), but I believe it Y’d off about halfway down the center tunnel between the e-brake and the ashtray, which would make sense for a seat, but I would think it would come out from the center of the carpet like on the driver’s side (under the center of the seat).

The car is a 2005 with factory race seats. From memory, I don’t think there was a passenger side plug coming out of the center of the carpet beneath the seat, but I can confirm this tomorrow. I have seen in other pictures online that there’s a plug there on other cars. I don’t know if there’s discrepancy in my memory, or differences between my car and later ones. I will look tomorrow and report back.

Yes, it is a 2005 coupe. That’s a good idea. I’ll most likely end up pulling out the center tunnel again to make sure I’m not missing something.

So, it looks like my memory was faulty (shocking!). There is a plug on the passenger side, which had somehow fallen through the cut in the carpet under the passenger seat. So, yes, there is a passenger seat connector as well, but it’s not the mystery plug.

Here’s a pic of both for context (mystery connector in the background)…

Does your console have anything missing like no cig charger hole?

I think maybe the bluetooth phone option box lives around there?

Might just be an unused connector if the car was setup different from the factory. Like manual/F1, etc.

As Mike says, Ferrari designed a lot of their harnesses to be used on different cars and some connectors are simply not used. I just don't have any explanation for those wire colours.

How many pins are on that seat connector? Seat belt warning needs 2 (or 1 if the frame is used as an earth), passenger presence needs 3, ...

Reversing camera, I would think, would only need 2 wires. The Spider rear glovebox only needs 2 and, at least on the 360, is part of the roof wiring which has a 14 pin connector.

That's the JPT architecture which is more aligned to the old 360 era electronics. Very unusual to have that in the interior of the 430 with its later Delphi housings. The cables and taping are however decent quality - certainly passes as OE.
