I knew they did, I think I actually DID get some, with my "Modern Bright Orange Not Really Ferrari Red" FILA set of F1 gear.....a belt too, I was just not going to mention it..... I personally use the sock logo to match the driving shoes I'm using....NIKE, PUMA, Piloti....whatever....SIMPSON if on the track! But back to our car.........good luck Marcel, happy hunting! I found the protoype 512 Boxer the other day, it was pitifully dusty......and my Bank declined the loan!
Sad times indeed....I am sure "Made in China" as far as PUMA is concerned.........I miss the Tommy Hilfiger years, at least he was stylist. You'll note I use his, with Non Tobacco, for most of my public work. BACK TO THREAD: Marcel, Those pictures don't offer enough to ID the car? Appears to be two tone paint, with unique door button latch treatments......surely it's been in the light of day within modern times, to be photographed?
It is worthy noting that we are treated with the same type of reaction that we saw from our dear friend 3500GT of a few weeks ago, who, incidentally, also made mention of probably the same car in his farewell letter. It was a good thing, got us going nicely, and Marcel may be crossing the border by now Marcel, please don't forget to bring a pair of socks for Big Tex, XXXL? Happy motoring.
Dear John. Some of these "buyers" for different reasons (they may not want to be indentified, are too busy with their business, or may not have the expertise of the cars) have people making purchases for them. It does not mean they are not passionate about their F cars. It's jut they do not have the time and/or knowledge to negociate the purchase of such automobiles. I know of some and I am sure Mr Massini already represented such people. For instance this is common in the art world... Best.
From my past work with a famous sports brand with 3 stripes, all was made in China, for cost reasons... Even this brand decided at the past olympics, to move all its manufacturing facilities outside of China (to Vietnam for example) where labour is even cheaper... When you are a global player, you always try to get the best bottom line possible... I am proud to say that in my current work, our Ferrari licensed product is designed and manufactured in Canada. Mister "Tommy Hilfiger" did very well for himself indeed, as he owns a few of the most important F cars: 250GTO and 330 p4... Now back to the subject.
this is a mesage from you: Hey Pieter, I did, of course, not contact him with my real name but using two different aliases that cannot be traced back! please be honest, or we could end our contacts here. i will do not say you nothing at all, if you will say me your alias
I was just bragging a little... I have seen lots of F licensed products and most of them are made in China... ;-)
marcel, do not worry, if i will decide to sell the car to you, at that price, obviously i will say you in private email where the car is located, otherwise where you will go to meet me and see the car!!! i think it normal, isn't it? first you have to say me your alias
Actually if you have Ming vases, the market for Chinese antiques is (was?) strong because lots of new chinese fortunes are trying to acquire these...
You are obviously correct in stating the reasons why such people cannot be bothered with banalities of the purchase. Though, passion is too meaningful of a word to be wasted. Passionate owners do not have a manservant flash the lights and toot the horn for the concours judges.
If you go back to the start of this thread and on this website (initially indicated in this thread, see post #1 of mdsaxon): http://www.classicdriver.com/uk/find...lCarID=1773692 and click on the first photo you will see the picture of the Ferrari horn button (steering wheel). HOW DOES IT COME that fchatter "urotrash/clifford gunboat" uses exactly the same photograph for his avatar? Coincidence? Urotrash: When did you first use this photo for your avatar? Marcel Massini
Tom: 250 GT SWB 1785 GT: Giovanni Giordanengo of Cueno/Italy built a NEW car AROUND engine 1785 GT. That automobile is owned since 1996 by a Swiss, resident in the greater Zurich area. No connection to the Europa we talk about in this thread. Marcel Massini
According to the advert today - Sold on the 12.11.2008 - everyone too late? And what's your hang-up about the aliases? You're even more hung up about the chassis number and the location. Nathan
So, are we on the trail of another BS car? I know we've all been down this path before, mysterious owner, odd conditions for a sale, no REAL evidence of ownership of the car, and a guy who rolls in here and claims he can, but will not, provide any information to confirm his ownership, or perhaps his SELLER LISTING, of the automobile. Makes me wonder, does this car exist? So far we know a horn button exists. Maybe that's a wheel cap? Who knows. Any seller afraid to post anything about a car has more to hide than meets the eye. MY suspicion is that either the car doesn't exist, or our fine Italian friend here is IN FACT a broker himself, attempting to protect the identity of the owner so that no one can horn in on his action. A simple photo or two, and a serial number would serve to dispel that notion. I think in all fairness, that if that information is not forthcoming, we'll shut down our mystery guest's account. I'll give it the weekend. Dave M
Dear Antonio When can I come and visit you in Altamura (Basilicata), Southern Italy? See the car and buy it? Please advise, thank you. Marcel Massini
