My 91 TR is leakproof. Except for one spot. Oil is gold, coolant is green, gas is clear. On top of the engine, in the hollowed out spaces on top of cylinders 7 and 8 some mystery liquid collects after a hard drive, maybe a teaspoon full. The stuff is black, with a hint of green, like old copper. It has little viscosity and is thinner than oil, but thicker than water. It has no smell whatsoever. It does not appear after every drive, just a harder one (ie, higher revs). I thought it might be some overflow from the crankcase breather which drains from the air box, but it is dry as a bone in there. It is not coolant, nor gas (and my oil is sparkling clean so why black?) I will post a pic from my other computer. Any ideas?
Is the crankcase breather pipe leaking onto the crankcase instead of going properly into the air filter housing?????? P
I reassembled it with a new hose clamp (it was loose). Will see. Black goo? Normally into the airbox? Really?
Normally NOT in the airbox I hope ............... (not in mine at least !) Might there be another problem occurring ?
