after i parked my '96 f355 after a one hour drive, i went around to the back and noticed fluid leaking from the engine. i moved the car to examine the liquid and it looked like coolant? it was greenish water with a light foamy edge around the puddle. maybe 10 ounces or so.

    is this cause for alarm?

I had the same thing about 2 months ago, before the major service. It ended up being a as simple as a hose clamp needing a 1/4 turn to tighten it up. You need to get in there with a good light and follow the trail up to where the leak is. There are just too many places where it could be leaking from.

Must be a coolant timer in Ferrari's, set to leak just a teeny bit every so often. I had a little coolant in the garage 2 wks ago (a few square inches area), nada since and still driving it all the time. Brrrr.....
