My fuse panel cover layout shows 10 relays, I have eleven.

The extra is below the RH headlight motor relay.

    What does this relay do?

    Thanks,
    Doug

I was told the relay is for the Euro models only. Just a blank on US versions.

Looks like it. The top of the three RH sockets has no wires in the back, a relay was just parked there.

    Thanks,
    Doug

Doug - you need the Owner's Manual and Wiring Diagram

    Relay panel has
    6 across the top
Flasher - LftRad Fan - RtRad Fan - Ext Lts - Brake Warning

    6 across the middle
Seat belts buzzer - Windows - Horn - Headlite Lifting - LHHeadlites - RHHeadlites

2 Empty Sockets at the bottom

Carbed cars - The extra (H) relay is used on cars wired for daytime headlight flashing, available for a few euro countries such as Switzerland.

On injected cars that socket is used for the (cold) start relay which works in conjunction with the fuel pump relay which occupies the left hand empty socket of the bottom row.

If your cars has the seat belt buzzer disabled - you can safely remove the middle row left most relay.

My relay panel is somewhat peculiar.

The top left a nd atop right sockets are empty sockets, no female pins.

The lowest most right and left socket, both below the second row, have connection sockets, thus the flasher is part of the second row, and the lowest left socket (on third row) was for seat belt buzzer or something, and the lowest right is where the last second row relay should be.

I do have an owners manual, I was trying to figure out the extra relay,a nd found it to be a spare tucked into an empty socket, but my relay panel still doesn't look like the drawing in the owners manual due to teh outermost relays all being moved down one place.

This car has a lot of peculiarities, and since I am second owner since 1984, I doubt they are mods made by previous owners.

How about a picture. Below is 1977 Owners Manuals - NA left and Aus right.

Sorry...top left relay locator drawing is AUS and goes with bottom right description etc.
