On my '81 308 GTSi, I have found a mystery wire with the broken end dangling just rearward of the AC compressor. It is yellow with a black stripe, and goes to the back of the wheel well wall where it enters the trunk area just in front of the power antenna. There it seems to disappear and I can't trace it further. I thought maybe it is the power wire for the antenna, which is not working.

I also thought it might go to the AC compressor, since it is right there.

If anyone has an insight, I would most appreciate it.

GN (yellow/black) wires near the rear tail lights are typical used for the running/parking lights -- do you have a RR side marker light in the fender? If so, does it have a GN wire connected to it and/or is it working?
