I am Soooooooooooo ready for a nap right now.

I heard that the 15 minute ratings period when the Stars scored their final goal got an 18 share for the DFW area.. 18% of the DFW area was tuned in through the end! Of course who knows how many of those people were actually asleep with the TV on.

I left my friend's home right after the 3rd overtime. Of course they would score 30 minutes later. :)

So glad the Stars are moving on......here comes Detroit.

Speaking as a die hard Ranger fan.. Marty is a bum. He is great - but keep in mind.. with that style "trap" hockey he was facing limited shots game after game 3/4 of his career. His record is great but.... Richter was better... Way better. Marty could of at least shook Avery's hand. No class... MMMMMMMMMMMMMMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTYYYYYYYYYYYYYY... I still have Matteo (spelling?) picture scoring the goal and Marty is face down in deep deep anguish.

    Be well

Marty has been the sole reason that the Devils have been dominant for the last 10 years. Marty will go down as one of the best (if not the best) goaltender in the history of the NHL. Marty is a classy guy, him not shaking Avery's hand shows that he is above him and that he doesn't have any respect.

Don't worry I like the Rangers too, just not when they're playing the Devils.

Pens/ Red Wings....with the Penguins winning in 6....As a season ticket holder on the glass in Pittsburgh....they look awfully good this year.....and they better do it this year, cause Hossa probably won't be back.

    hmmm...

FLYERS in 6 over Pittaburgh. They steal game one at Pitt, then it see-saws the rest of the way to a game 6 win at home.

Detroit takes 7 games to get there.

Detroit should be able to handle the Flyers in 5 or 6 at most, BUT, YOU NEVER KNOW...

These two series, either way, are gonna be fun to watch. The Penguins dumped their last game of the season to avoid the Flyers in the first round of the playoffs, but a lot of good that did them. I like Detroit, they look unstoppable, have all year. But they don't play out east much either.

A night of mixed emotion, to be sure...

My beloved Stars are down 2-0 to Deet in their effort to skate Lord Stanley's Cup.

However, tonight, the mighty Stingers finish our season 9-1 and win tonight's championship for the second consecutive season...

    we skated Lord Stanley's Keg!

When I posted that, the NHL had not yet decided to give the Penguins a week to rest up before the next series. I figured they'd still be beat up from the Rangers, Flyers would be more rested.

BUT, I think today will tell the tale. If the Flyers win, then the Penguins are fooked, likewise if the FLyers drop this game, it's all over but for the champagne.

Might want to tap the brakes on Deet... They've still got a game to win vs the Stars. The fat lady has not yet begun to sing!

(yes I am a homer and no I only half believe at this point that the Stars will last past the 6th game)

Well, I'll ditto this post. Stars still have a tough row to hoe, but the momentum is clearly on their side with the next game at the AAC.

Great series. Detriot is an all star team and deserves to be going to the Stanley Cup Finals. Chelios is 46- makes me look young; I need to dust off the skates never too late.
Wings and Penguins will be an awesome series. Crosby will have his share of Stanley Cups in his future, just not time , yet. Congrats to Stars getting this far!
