Pretty close indeed. This car was modified in the late 70's to GTO looks. In the late 70's/early 80's a Swiss carbroker from the Italian canton of Ticino tried to sell it as a real GTO for SF 6000.00 (less in $$). The prospective buyer, who thought it would be a real GTO, cancelled the deal when he found out it was "only" a modified SWB with #2765GT. Later it was advertised in "Road and Track" as a GTO and eventually it was sold to an italian new owner.

The secons car is 0063S, the 1950 Paris Salon car by Stabilimenti Farina. I still wonder what happened to the body after Don Nelson had it. The chassis was turned into a Spider Corsa.

I believe Francois Sicard had that car. As the story goes Francois was doing a lot of work for Robert Murray and got that car as payment when the Murray fled. Then one day some men show up and started looking in Francois windows and around his place. He told them to get the hell off his property. Turns out they were FBI and impressed upon Francois the pile of merd they could get him in and seized the car. This was the second GTO Francois almost had. Yale
