Dern it ! I meant to say B-45 not the B-46. I knew it was the North Mercun B-45, the B-46 was the Convair. Both of them were competitors of the winning B-47 built by Bones. They also built the B-16 1/2. Nice one, DJ
McDonnell XF-88B Voodoo. (Though I don't know if the Voodoo name was ever officially applied to the F-88.)
Hi Jim, You know your stuff! Cookie is in the mail. "The McDonnell XF-88 Voodoo was the second jet fighter contract for McDonnell in Saint Louis. This twin-engined, long-range escort fighter failed to attract orders. It served as a design and fabrication background for the F-101 Voodoo but was never ordered in service test quantity by the air force. One of the experimental models was modified for Wright field to test supersonic propellers. The theory at the time, documented in the Princeton Series on High Speed Aerodynamics and Jet Propulsion, was that under some circumstances at low supersonic speeds a specially designed propeller could be more efficient than a jet engine. In some sense this is analogous to the high bypass ratio gas turbines today."

Dont have a clue about the gun...sure like to load the blonde. Basket spinny thingy that you absolutly do not want to be on the wrong end of. Some kind of gatling gun, obviously. Wait a sec...Dillon Aero. Could be refering to Dillon Enterprises, the reloading company owned by Mike Dillon and based in Phx? Talk about a machine gun nut. Mike has one of everything including a T-34 with a mini gun under a wing. Squirt a 55 gal drum filled with rocks and some black powder and you will know if get a hit. Google Mike Dillon...c watcha get. He used to have a P-40 whay back when.
Have not seen the gun but I know he has a few. Big MG club there. Go out into the desert and shoot up everything. You shoot the basket gun.....still rather 'shoot' the blonde.
