i've been looking at that picture for a good 5 minutes now, i know ive seen it before but the name just won't come to me.
Shheeez!! Is that Paul Allens boat over to the right dwarfing all the other boats? (MS Octopus ver1.0)
well, i was going to give you a million dollars, but since you seem so adament about staying low key, maybe next time.
The correct answer is the Dauer 962 Le Mans. I'll take the million. Here's one of my favorite photos of it. I can't even imagine what might have been going through the mind of the driver in the Golf. By the way - I have a nice set of wallpaper-sized images of this car. If anyone is looking for them I'd be happy to share. >8^) ER Image Unavailable, Please Login
Nope, though that yacht does look similar at a glance to Octopus. Octopus' superstructure is more centered than the rear-set look of that other one. I think that pic is too old for Octopus to have been born at that time, too.

How sure are you? it looks allot like the dauer 962 Le Mans to me. koenigs version looks completely different, (although i see you put prototype, so maybe you know something we dont) Image Unavailable, Please Login
100% Mate the top photo is the mystery car? and the one below it is the prototype for the C62. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I think you have been misinformed Steve. I have several images of both cars and they are each quite unique and easy to distinguish from one another. All of the yellow car images posted in this thread are of the Dauer except for the one Alan posted which is indeed the Koenig. I could probably get the foremost expert on Dauers to weigh in here if you need further clarification. He posts on ************* as ajzahn and knows Jochen Dauer personally; in fact, I think he has worked for Dauer in the past. >8^) ER
The very same Dauer posted above it - someone has just messed with the colors when they Photoshopped it onto what I would call a rather strange background. >8^) ER
The site i had the photo from had it pictured in the Koenig section? i guess i stand corrected thanks mate.
No worries. I'm not at home now, but I will post some more photos of the Koenig C62 later. I don't have all that many, but I know I have a few more of the yellow one and some of the red one. I'm not sure if they built any other examples. I'll also check to see if I have the original non-Photoshopped version of the image you thought was a Koenig. It's been a while since I looked closely at those folders. >8^) ER
