My dad sent me these pictures. He was in Thailand in 1960-61. Imagine what any of these cars would be worth today in the shape they're in in these pictures.

    His new 1960 190 SL.

In front of his house in BKK.

    From his window.

Him next to his friend's '57 (about) Benz in Pattaya.

His Thai friend Kassim's Alfa Romeo! Can anyone tell me which Alfa this is? He's the one on the far left. When he graduated from UCLA his dad told him he could buy any car he wanted and bring it back to Thailand. Guess what he chose? Not the Alfa!

...but what any of us would have chosen! The F430 of that time!!!! And which Ferrari is this?

Notice the brand of the tires is ENGLEBERT?

It would appear to be a 275GTS, which according to www.ferrariworld.com was manufactured from 1964 onwards, which doesn't actually fit with the years you say this picture was taken. It looks magnificant especially in that colour!

"Both the 275 GTB and its Spider (GTS) version feature independent rear suspension and a rear mounted gear box. The rims differ though, with the berlinetta boasting alloys and the GTS, spokes. Their engine units were indentical but the Spider put out some twenty plus bhp less. Pininfarina was the man responsible for the elegant design."

The Alfa is, I believe, a Guillia Ti. The Ferrari is a LWB California Spyder.

The Alfa is a Giulietta ti.
Agreed on the Ferrari. It looks like a 250 Pininfarina LWB Spyder
Post the picture in the vintage section, they'll tell you exactly which chassis number and its history :)

    Cheers
