Go to Chops Restaurant and then Yabba for after dinner drinks - both are on 5th Avenue, which is a great place to spot exotic cars, esp. at night.

Also, stop by Naples Motorsports to see some nice Ferrari's, Lambo's, etc. in the showroom.

My parents have a house in Naples, so I know the area quite well, let me know if you want any more restaurant opinions, etc.

    Enjoy your trip!

nice place but boring. shops close early. lots of retired people. very friendly folks, lot of pharmacies, beaches are nice,

    pretty much sums it up.

we are staying at the Ritz on the ocean, and that's about it. I'm considering relocating and that's one of the reasons for the Naples trip, so I figured I'd cruise some neighborhoods and see what's what. Restaurant and nightlife suggestions are welcome. I've heard that it's kind of boring there so I wanted to see for myself.

Go to Naples Motorsports and tell Todd his pictures are great, but he asks too much for his cars.

I grew up there, and one of my first real jobs was running cars at the Ritz. Tell my man Nick Dousson at the front door that Chris Constantin says hello. He is the manager of the front door(valets, doormen, etc...). He is a close friend. As for where to go, the Chops/Yabba idea is great. There is also a good Irish pub next door to Yaba's that is great and also Paddy Murphy's I believe that is just down the street. If you go, say hey to Todd @ Naples Motorsports. Really a stand up guy and a good guy to buy a car from. His prices might be a little bit high but his cars are 99.9999 percent ready to go. Books, keys, no drama.
You will have some nice stuff to do on the property while you are there also. Great resort in a great area. You can rent bikes at The Bicycle Shoppe of Naples which is in the shopping center up the street and ask for Clint Jr. I have known him since I was 14 years old. Get some beach cruisers and go through the mangrove forest in Pelican Bay right in front of the hotel.
After that, you should go down to the everglades and ride the airboats at Wooten's. That is pretty interesting. All of this can be arranged by the Concierge in the hotel.
Lastly, you should go shopping at Waterside Shops and then down on fifth avenue and third street. Also, the place where Todd takes his pictures is a pretty cool place, I can't remember the name of the place but it is pretty nice. If you want to drive around and see some rediculous houses on the beach, go down to the end of Gordon Drive which is where Miles Collier lives(Collier County!!!) Lots to do and pretty laid back.
