    Bryan,
not sure but the car was rumoured to be worth $2 mill. Could this be right?

As beautiful and wonderful as they are, I can't see 2 million for a NART spider...

Chassis # 11057 - the last one made. Started life in Spain (the only one not to go to the US) in Silver with black interior.

You're quite right about $2 million being way off.
It's insured for 2 million POUNDS.

What a thrill to see it ...

I spoke at length to the gentleman who brough the car along on behalf of his client. The owner is an American lawyer by the name of "Jeffrey something" who has a house in London but does not live here full time.

Car was the star of the show and I also heard the 2 million price tag being bandied about.

This is a 275 GTB conversion #7211, so different value.

The chap who brought it along was Terry Hoyle - one of the world's best Ferrari engine men (whose business card also says 'Merlin V12 servicing' - so if you ever need a Spitfire engine worked on, he's your man !). He's also the guy who brought along Pierre Bardinon's 1954 Le Mans-winning 375 Plus to the FOC Concours & Stanford Hall shows this year. He said that he took the NART to the South of France this year 'to put some miles on it' - with the owner's blessing of course... That must be the World's best ever (free) rental... No, it wasn't me on the hill. The other (ex Ferrari UK) blue Daytona was there as usual. I didn't bring mine, as I thought it would rain. Pretty pathetic in view of the NART showing up (and being just about the last car to leave...).

Is it my imagination, or is the shape of the trunk on the blue "cut" car a little odd? It does not appear to have the nice rounded shape of the genuine article.

Its not your imagination, but the alloy cars have trunks like that.
