I agree. Thyere are a lot of "classic car" people with their heads up their collective asses. The "hobby" has gotten, IMO, WAY out of hand, and something needs to be done.

That Nart Spyder is so beautiful.

ok, I just want to play a little word game.

When I say Nart Spyder, you say P4/5.
When I say Bugatti Veyron, you say P4/5.

    Am I missing something?

What about Walter's car? Have the feds put it up for auction lately? What's the latest word on it?

    #1 isn't a NART Spyder and #2 isn't an F40 LM.

Ferrrari P 4/5 by Pininfarina is Ferrari P 4/5 by Pininfarina.

Didn't attend Cavallino or PBSCW this year (sorry I missed both), don't have any "inside knowledge," don't know why two events can't co-exist, don't understand why a magazine wouldn't publish an indisputably significant letter, don't even want to show my own cars because I don't want to get involved with politics at all, but, if anyone can answer: was PBSCW created with the intention of hurting Cavallino?

    Hi

No. It was created by local guys who wanted a more inclusive Sunday event and more local involvement. They took over the event that was on Sunday last year at the Polo club. Concourso/Quail/ The Historics/Pebble all seem to get along in addition to several competing auctions and these two events should be able to as well. BTW Barchetta seems to see it that way as well:

"and these two events should be able to as well"

Last time I went, I stayed at The Breakers, and attended the Cavallino, the Polo Grounds event and the Gooding auction. If there are more events, I'm more likely to make the trip. I hope the auction returns ....

So, all in all, we all agree that is isn't a NART spyder, but still a gorgeous Ferrari.

I don't think so. I don't think it will either. Those (including me) that like Cavallino will continue to go to see it.It would be interesting to see if they try to schedule a challenge for Cavallino next year. That is, if they schedule their main event on the same day as the Breakers concours for Cavallino. I like John T. and his group of organizers, way more hip than I am, but since I have no friends it really doesn't matter.

Threatening? Only if trying to pass the car off as a real NART
