The lane change with 2 laps to go. ' ' Nobody used a blinker or even a hand signal. , , Ok, ok,, they have holes in your window net, , so you don't Slam into the car right next to you. Edwardo Image Unavailable, Please Login
Believe it or not, I haven't seen the Ricky Bobby movie!...... I guess I'll have to now I'm turning into a redneck Cheers, Ian
Logic dictates if he could not have picked a worse lineup then he must be the person in last place, no?
one of my drivers wasn't even in the race (forgot to switch after the qualifying races, d'oh!) and still finished 6th. can't imagine how bad some of y'all's picks were
Nope I didn't make that connection at all. I'm currently second here, but ~20,000th overall. There's lots of folk a lot worse off..... Cheers, Ian
3 of mine got wiped. tbayne, the danica, and juan problemo montoya. at least he went out in spectacular fashion. i may have to rethink my montoya pick i thought it was kevin smith waddling out of the 42 for a second there.
Forget who posted it now; Q - How many Columbians does it take to stop the Daytona 500? A - Just Juan. Indeed - I noticed that too. Seems Nascar cockpits are a lot roomier than their F1 counterparts! Cheers, Ian
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE ---------------------------- Phoenix, 03/04/2012 Team principal Fast_ian, known in this series as "The Dispatcher" expressed his delight at jumping over Scuderia Ricky Bobby into first place in the standings ahead of the race this afternoon. He continued, "SRB seemed to take great pleasure in referring to us as 'the first of the losers'. We believe our qualifying performance earlier puts us in great shape to stretch our lead and consolidate the #1 position in the championship." "Certainly we'll be paying much more attention to the skittles this afternoon than we would have otherwise!" was his conclusion. ENDS ------ Cheers, Ian
it takes a while to update after the race. good news, I finished 3/4/9/16. bad news, I had Hamlin on the bench
I'm now confused!..... Why'd JJ only get a solitary point here? He finished 4th; Why didn't he get 84 points for 4th? Cheers, Ian
*Exactly* the same here - See grab below. Why'd JJ only get 1 point?! And Biffle (3rd) zero? Cheers, Ian Image Unavailable, Please Login
the points total you got for the week (i.e. what shows up in the standings) should be correct. not sure why the page shown isn't reflecting the points.
I'm pissed because in the past you could swap your roster of eight in and out until just before the race, which was like 2:15 CST today. I logged on at about noon CST only to find it locked as of around 8am PST, which is 10am CST. Oh well, it's a long season.
You might have grabbed that before all the results were posted. Below is a current grab of Bubba's week 2... Image Unavailable, Please Login
I had Biffle on the bench and forgot to change my drivers after qualifying. I likely would have benched Jr. and started Biff, the former finished 14th and the latter 3rd.
Indeed - It seems to be OK now, but was *very* strange for a while - JJ's points (among others) had been updated for, eg, Bubba, but not for me - A page reload corrected it, but when I came back later it was wrong again!..... This cycle was still going on when I posted the grab above. I guess their database servers do iterative updates and it just takes a (long) while - Which is again strange as during the race the stats are updated in almost realtime - Similar to fantasy football. No biggie, we got there in the end. Standings after week 2 - Congrats to Bubba! The Dispatcher has decided to not issue any more press releases unless we win! what's really odd is that the points totals update on some pages before others, within the same user account. ah well, it's all sorted now.
I don't care what anyone else says, but this beats the crap out of the F1 fantasy leagues. In F1 everyone basically chooses the same six drivers.
I agree. although some (most?) F1 leagues let you choose a constructor and/or engine, which makes things fun. especially like a few years ago when Brawn won the championship and Mercedes won most of the races, somewhat out of nowhere.
