For this race it seems to be back to the norm...

    ...or maybe not.

    PS

Damn shame about Harvick having to sit out but that's what he gets for messing with a preggo gal; I hear his injuries will heal in time for Bristol.

Well, they did it again, they locked down our lineups four hours before the start of the race. I guess we just have to make changes the night before, just to be safe.

I have not seen anything about Harvick, what are you talking about?

    Not here!.....

Really - I just (as an experiment) switched my C-list guys over and saved the roster - No problem. Switched 'em back, no problem.....

    Cheers,
    Ian

FWIW, I just remembered JJ is now starting at the back in his spare car - So, I switched him out for Smoke - No problem! [Probably the biggest mistake I'll make all year, but I've done it!]

    Cheers,
    Ian

I forgot to change my roster this week. D'oh!

on the plus side, I had drivers finish 2/3 so I should be okay. but I wasted starts for drivers that I would have preferred to hold on to for later in the season. oh well.

    :D

I look like a genius for once! ;)

    For immediate release
    -------------------------

"The Taxicabs! are delighted to have won in just their third race", began The Dispatcher, aka team principal Fast_ian. "We said earlier we'd no longer issue press releases until we won, and it turns out we got there surprisingly quickly. After a pretty poor showing in race 2 dropped us down the standings we're obviously excited to be back in the first loser spot and are gunning for the top spot next week".

    Ends

    Cheers,
    Ian

Yep and within the season there are 3 segments (Spring, Summer, & Playoffs) so you can still win a battle if the war is lost.

While that may make you feel a little better, we're not running that way, correct? [All races count, none dropped and the segments are "irrelevant" to us I believe (?) ]

    Cheers,

Short answer, yes you are correct.

Long answer, yes but it does give one a chance to recapture some pride if they have a bad segment or two and allows for any late entrants to have something to aim for so I don't think it is completely "irrelevant" to the spirit of the contest.

I was behind by 300 points last season, and I won it.

Winning a 'segment' means nothing, really, just keep at it, make sure you don't 'burn' a hot driver on silly starts and end up with zero starts left on a hot driver with 10 races to go.
I think I burned two on Kasey Kahne, so he's on the bench for awhile now.

You guys lost me, and I'm too f---ing stupid and tired to figure it out.
I said I was behind by 300 last year and I won it, if that's not being an OPTIMIST then I give up.

I assume it was a freebie edition sponsored/provided by the battery folks because there is no bar code on the back cover. I bought it at Goodwill...they scammed me! :D

I'm a bit concerned it might focus a tad too much on religious references for me given that Gibbs is a devout Christian and I'm more along the lines of agnostic Christian.
