You're catching on, nearly verbatium to what I've been saying
about NASCAR for the last 20 years.

Perhaps NASCAR is less of a lottery than it is musical
chairs as whomever is left after the demolition debry
that will provide the most melancholy finish is chosen
from a locked room high above the track by
    Mike Helton and his henchmen.

Coming from a guy that isn't even playing in our league...

Listen, I like all forms of motorsports, each and every one of them have their pluses and minuses, go ask Roger Penske, Jack Roush and Chip Ganassi - all three of whom have been successful in other forms of racing - why they are in nascar.

I like F1, but the track record of F1 over the last 10-15 years is a joke, largely one where there are only six cars capable of winning - and those six never change throughout the year. (keep in mind I said over the last 10-15 years, not 2012 alone).

I don't necessarily disagree with your analogy of nascar, but it is what it is, just as F1 is what it is, and every other form of motorsport there is.

And let me restate - nice comment from a guy not even in our league.

and you'll notice that F1 is doing more to emulate NASCAR (contrived rules packages, testing bans, etc) than the other way around.

Well, it looks to me like SRB and Bubba - and most everyone else - have given up.

Ugh, that last corner wreck hurt me...finished 11/12/15/26. Without the wreck I would have had 3 in the top 10. :(

Remember, we are going full season points, not segment points. I see some folks have given up, they have guys going that are down to 1 start, and some folks starting that are not even entered. SRB is 3rd.
What ticks me off is I had Jeff Burton on my team, and I swapped him out Wednesday night.
Oh well, with Daytona at Talladega you never know.

Yeah, I know; just looking for that darn silver lining.

Yep, last year was more fun with its active participation and the banter. Next year I might join one of the public leagues too.

    1/16/19/33

My move of the weekend was replacing Vickers (finished 43rd) with Mears (16th) after qualifying...whew!

Good call by those that started Hornish. I thought about picking him but visions of IRL ovals caused me not to...darn you Tony George! :D

I told you Bubba gave up.

As far as Hornish goes, who else is worthy on the C list? Almirola is about it, really, now we have two cars on
top teams to choose from, but you still have to pick some of the other guys or you run out of starts.
