    fontana this weekend!

1.5 mile format for the big horsepower and wind tunnel program teams. should be a hendrick or JGR win but i am pulling for bk.

danica looking stout...she starts in the 40th position!!!

start and park, debris cautions and lucky dog free pass will once again be her friend :)

I wonder if Denny had after thoughts of what his teammate said to Joey's teammate when asked about an incident. Kyle had said "who?", and that "who" won the championship....

Pete, Roush cars have a lot of engine, so I wouldn't count them out either.

I never count them out but you and I know 1.5 mi and greater formats often fall Hendricks way. The coach has got some hp too this year.

I am rooting for bk. the kid is a wise racer beyond his years!

I hate them both for not taking out KB with them so Jr could win :D

kb was smart and patient. he knew there was going to be trouble between 22 and 11...he just needed to be able to stay clean and the result would be his.

    great racing!!!!

The way I see the #11 kept the #22 down or pinched him as they say, in hope that the #22 couldn't hold it and lift or at least break his momentum. What the #11 should've done is gone higher anyway just to block the #18 because he was coming hard and probably would've passed them both anyway if they hadn't wrecked but held that line.

The #22 did what he had to on the last lap with half a turn and half a straight to the checkers. He wanted to go higher but the #11 kept him down to the bottom of the track so his choice was to go for it and hope it sticks so they can drag race to the finish or lift and be called a sissy by every driver in racing. :) He went for it and it didn't quite stick. Denny would've done the same if they switched positions. That was just good, hard racing at its best.

The best racing is when there is considerable tire wear and its really fun to watch them shuffle positions. This season is already shaping up to being an epic battle.

    i agree on all counts.

my thoughts are that denny had his hands full of joey and may not have been abole to keep kyle at bay too.

do we want to have a danica race summary? it almost seems in bad taste after such a great race among the real racers!

I think Denny was driving just a tad bit too defensively against the #22.

Danica did as expected and as long as she places in the 20s or lower she is having a good day.

What we really need to talk about is how did NASCAR fabricate that last lap battle between the two guys that they had publicized feuding all week to build interest for sunday's show :D

The front splitter on a lot of the cars saw much abuse on that bumpy track. There was a sharp edge where it was worn down on a number of cars. It also cut like a knife if it came in contact with another competitor's tires. There were a number of cautions for tires going down.
The 11 (and I am NO FAN of the 22) got what he deserved for trying to spin the 22 after their what third or fourth contact. That side draft left both of them sitting ducks for the 18 when he scooted by on the top just before the 11 and 22 both crashed. Keeping in line would have kept the 18 behind them. All three drivers would have gotten good points positions. The 88 is showing them what consistency and staying out of trouble gets you....

I had a 2hr kart race, so missed out, but have checked out some highlights.

Tony should look at some replays of his own driving before being too mad - specifically his "blocK"(which was too late) at the 'dega chase race on Waltrip - that block took out pretty much the whole field, in what was almost a 'Dega race without a big one.(I'd of loved that)

I posted the following on smokes facebook page...anyone agree?

"quick question to you tony...if you had been leading off the green flag and joey was coming on hard down low. it is late in the race...does your spotter tell you to cover him or does he tell you to give him room and let him by you? what do you do tony?? yeah, thought so :) you need to show grace by taking it is as well as you give it big boy. it's just racing tony."

I don't understand Tony's rage in this one....is logano that unliked?

Menard and Truex are rich kids too, nobody complains about them. I thought Tony's comments were odd (and out of line).
