Mine, too, but I'd actually like to hear the infrequent important things they say.

43 cars, real on-track racing, and pit crews that will talk to the reporters about strategy. There's a lot to talk -about-

Well at least one person made some sense in this thread. I have no problem with NASCAR announcers, I watch the racing and tend to tune out most of the talking. But they do take the time to go into in depth explantions that I appreciate.

But of the two forms of racing I follow, at least one of them has real on track racing, and the guy on pole doesn't usually win the race because no one can pass. NASCAR is on track competition, F1 is art. NASCAR will never be art, maybe someday F1 will be on track competition. You know, the kind where there is more than one on track pass at each event.

Yeah, I especially like all the talk about the mancrushes between the drivers, spotters and crew chiefs. At least SPEED had the sense to cancel its NASCAR sopa opera....gosh, Jr. ("got wrecked") blubbering now. Boo freakin' hoo.

    Jack.

Some folks need to just chill and take it for what it is, because it's not going to change, it's not Pro Golf...

    Its satisfies a need.
And also pays the bills at Speed so we have a venue to watch F1 practices, qualifying, and races.
F1 pre-race and post race shows.

    I say let em yack.

OK...I accept that almost everybody else is down with the motormouths. As long as "the 88" keeps the losing streak intact I'll settle for that.

I do like how they get chances to talk with the pit crew and crew chiefs during the race to get more info with what's going on. I also saw them talking with the drivers over the radio which I thought was cool, but I would think that might distract the drivers a bit? Guess it doesn't matter as much when they're driving under caution which as we all know happens often to bunch up the field.

However the announcers can be horrible at times just like the F1 announcers aren't always sounding like geniuses with every comment they make. The last NASCAR race that I watched for a bit I had to listen to the guys go on for a good ten minutes about how new tires make the car go faster than the cars with old tires.

The race is not that exciting so their comments add to it IMO. I like watching the Charlotte sourced hobo suits the good ole boys wore last night trying to "fancy it up" for the big saturday night race. Faces airbrushed with orange fake tan too.
