All of you guys who get all bent out of shape about Ferrari branded stuff might get a good laugh: Seen on another site, pictures of NASCAR branded tomatoes... http://forums.egullet.org/index.php?showtopic=80459 At the above site, there was an interesting link to the official NASCAR website explaining their produce marketing... http://www.nascar.com/2004/news/business/11/17/nascar_veggies/ Pretty strange, no?
Man, there's some funny replies today. Unlike this, it wasn't "branding" - but let me take you back to 1970 anyway... Chiquita Bananas had NFL team helmet stickers - I had 'em all. My classmates had quite a few, too. They're gonna sell a lot of overpriced Tomatoes, Onions and Potatoes. That's what I call a TOP spin campaign.
What yah gonna do when the beer and tabbacky markets are already saturated......veggies.....that's the idea !!!!
I thought at first that you had mistitled the thread and meant 'products,' and planned on coming here to make some smart alec quip that it wasn't NASCAR vegetables. Apparently, truth is stranger than fiction. I'm pretty speechless on these. What's next? Ferrari brand dog food and glue? "Contains real cavallinos!"
