Well Jimmie Johnson matched Cale Yarbrough's feat of three championships. I wonder if he can get four in a row.

sure...as long as nascar is doing all they can to ensure their fan base won't be offended w/ toyota winning and as long as gm needs all the good support and p r of a championship!

and as long as rick hendrick continues to have the direct line to the france's.

congrats to Jimmie and Hendrick Motorsports, they've certainly built a juggernaut. but again, NASCAR needs to get rid of the chase.

Yeah I think the chase isn't working either. It's really not fair that Kyle Busch should have the year he's had and end up nowhere in the cup standings becuae of a late season slump.

Realistically JJ won the title last weekend anyway.

Good for JJ as he's about as gracious a champion as you'll find, however I can't remember a time where teams closing shop, cars not returning, manufacturers withdrawing support and no testing in 09 was a bigger story than the championship. Top 35 in points is probably irrelevant at this point if predictions are on target.

The whole idea of the chase sounds pretty stupid to me and the ban on all testing sounds pretty crappy as well. On top of all that I saw the espn headline that JJ is the greatest driver ever and I chuckled at that thought.
