Looking forward to seeing everyone Saturday Trav- Maybe you can have your mom bring it to me at work friday? I'll be heading back to BG that night so I can leave from here for C and C on Saturday.
I think we should meet in Alaska next time because it just wasn't cold enough for me. Loved seeing everyone and all the cars. That F40 looked rough and abused so I bet the guy that owns it is ready to sell!!! Honestly it was beautiful. Crawford is half way there with the coffee thing. He drank it now he needs to buy it.
The C&C is getting really big up there is sounds like. I keep wanting to make it up, but between 50hrs/wk at work and trying to finish up my finance degree my schedule is packed. Maybe next semester won't be so bad and I can bring up my '66 Mini that we finally got back together.
EXCELLENT turnout today! Later tonight I'll sit down and upload some of the pics I took. Bob, I gotta say, I was a little bummed that your 16M was in FL, but that 512 made up for it! What a wonderful, iconic automobile. And in yellow, too! Yellow is my favorite color on most Ferraris, and it definitely doesn't disappoint on your TR. It was nice talking to you today. Jaz (Jas? not sure on the spelling, sorry!) the F40 was simply amazing. WOW. I think that's about all I can come up with! I hope to see more of your collection sometime soon! The pair of blue 360s were sweet. Next time we need to park the two of them beside each other and get family photos! 360 and 360 CS..... sounds like a great desktop background shot for my computer! Loved the 328, and the pair of 430s was awesome too. That was the first 612 I've seen, too. Nice! Of course, as I told a few (maybe everybody!) folks, the 355 is the "it" car for me! It makes me SSSOOOOO happy to see them, and I got the pleasure of following Gary into Starbucks this morning. The 355 is even more gorgeous on the move. That SLR was icing on the cake. Great car! Anyways... I'm babbling... I had a great time today. Thanks everybody for bringing out your machines and sharing them with us. Can't wait for the next one!
Great time once again gang, great to see everyone and a excellent turnout considering it was 30F ! Will post pics soon

I would sleep in on the day that Crawford drinks coffee. D'oh!!! Or should I be saying that I would sleep in on the day that a CS and an F40 show up? Oh well. Jas, great pics. The F40 looks as fantastic as I remember in Lexington. And really, what Bob said: Post more pics of it. I know you're probably tired of seeing it and all, but....really, it's okay. Isn't she certified as one of the cleanest/best F40's in the nation or something? I remember seeing that you had been invited to Bahrain with her...great stories for that car. We had snow in M'Boro this morning...part of the motivation for sleeping in, I must confess. I didn't know what to expect when I got on F-chat tonight to check out the turnout! Cool stuff!
I have tons of pics from today, 30 of which are of the F40. And 1 vid of the F40 arriving I'll post some pics up later!
Great meet today. Nice to meet the new faces and cars, we are getting up there in numbers. We will soon have to charge admission. Jas your collection is top notch, don't let Bob steal that F40 away from you. Anybody interested in a Cars and coffee Christmas dinner of some sort? We can bring our better halves so they know the crazy people we go meet once a month. I won't be here for the next meet.
Had a great time today and an awesome turnout! I would be in for a dinner of some sort. How about Stoney River or Amerigos?
Alright, as promised here is a link to my Photobucket page of today's pics. Yes, lots of dupes but also a lot more of the F40, including a shot of the odometer! AMAZING!! Hope this works! http://s3.photobucket.com/albums/y82/musicman2705/fchat%2012-05-09/ Sorry, I'm not subscribed yet so I can't post pics, but please check out the album! I got some vids of Jas leaving in the F40, and Bob spinnin' a little tire in the 512! I've never loaded vids to youtube before, but I'll give it a shot.
OK, here's my first go 'round of posting videos to the interwebnet. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bza73kE-s4I&feature=PlayList&p=2CB948CCD513CA8F&index=0 2 F40 vids, and one of Bob's 512, with a little 612 in the middle.
Hmmmm... "Crawford is half way there with the coffee thing. He drank it now he needs to buy it." "I would sleep in on the day that Crawford drinks coffee. D'oh!!!" I sense a recurring motif here. I bought him some today, if for nothing more than to escape the chill and retreat to the warm coffee shop, man it was cold today! I guess I'm just an enabler The cars definitely warmed things up. Crawford's been trying to get me to come to a "C and C" for quite awhile now. I think I picked the perfect day! Great to see Bob and the 512 again. I was floored when he brought it over to Crawford's house soon after purchasing it and it was a pleasure to see the car again today. Simply an iconic car. Such a pleasure to meet Jaz and see the F40, complete with the "Jacky Ickx" mods to the tires ;-) Nice to see a car like that on the road and not in a museum. Pleasure meeting James today as well! I'm with you on the 355 man... a classic for sure. A rare treat with the two blue recent issue Ferrari's at the same venue... being a painter (artist), I love color and it was fun to see the cooler (in temperature) blue/violet reflections of one type of blue in contrast to the warmer blue/green reflections of the other blue car. I believe the former was "Le Mans" and the latter "Tour de France." A great day... can't wait for the next one!
I don't know of another F40 in Nashville or that one was ever here. I know some of the SE members have owned them and have seen them at the track.
I will be in Fl. so I wouldn't be able to make it. I would attend if I could. If you tell me the date I'll go and get some dough nuts and some hot coffee and kind of commemorate the event.
Actually I was thinking a all out road trip to Bobs in Florida would be awesome...sorta like a mini cannonball and 24 hours party. Whos in?
Damn, you guys got a good gathering for such a new meet. I'm surprised that we (in ATL), dont see a lot of rare exotics come to car shows.
