    The Inaugural FCA GOLF CUP CHALLENGE is a national-level event coming up May 18-20 in Asheville, North Carolina, headquartered at the Grove Park Inn Resort and Spa, and with additional activities at the world-famous Biltmore Estate. There will also be entertainment, drive opportunities including the "Tail of the Dragon", and plenty to do for the non-golfers. The event will also coincide with the Asheville Festival of Flowers!

    The Grove Park Inn is a Grand Historic Hotel, with a world class spa. It was built by carving out a section of mountainside below the hotel. There are fabulous massage facilities, pools, steam rooms, and 5 hot tubs all in a breathtaking setting.

    For those of you not familiar with Asheville, it is a shoppers bizarre! Dozens of Antiques, crafts, and nature shops are downtown (3 mins from hotel) and several shops are actually next to the hotel itself.

    The event will be capped off with a Grand Ferrari Car Show on the front lawn of the Biltmore Estate with an accompanying meal and entertainment. WHAT A PHOTO OP!

    This is a charity event benefitting the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. This foundation provides college funds to children of fallen special operations soldiers.

    Each FCA Region is invited and encouraged to send at least one golf foursome to contest the Ferrari Cup: a cup so special there can be only one. This cup, engraved with the winner's names, will be passed yearly to the FCA's best golf foursome.
    Non-competitive golf teams are welcome and an assortment of other prizes will be available. Please check with you local FCA director for details.

    hello Ferrari owners, my name is Kyle Lawrence from Knoxville, TN. I will be heading up to Ashville, NC. for the Ferrari Cup Challenge. I was looking for an enthusiastic owner that would be willing to allow a college student to ride in their Ferrari with him or her on the Dragon. I am a long time Ferrari enthusiast and have always wanted to ride in a Ferrari in such an event.     We need Golfers to fill out groups. So far we are at about 40 for the golf, about 30 cars on the Rally and almost 80 Rooms booked for the 3 nights.

    The golf IS open to non-FCA players. Being a charity event we are opening it up for a few more groups to get more money for the kids.

    PS--we have over 100k in donation pledges so far !!!!

    I hope you all know that if you get a Hole-in-One on one of the par-3 holes there are Ferrari's (real ones--like 348's and such) as prizes!

    Most folks are signed up with spouses, but I'm sure there may be a few "singles" driving The Tail. I'll have my wife with me, and not sure if we're driving the Ferrari or flying in, but if the Ferrari is there, I'd be glad to give you a ride even if it's just in the resort area.

    I'm going to drive mine the 350 miles each way if I can convince my wife to take the long ride. Otherwise, f you're shipping from Brentwood, I might consider sharing a carrier with you. I think Crawford is planning to drive his 355, though.

    In keeping with the premise that all publicity is good publicity, the abuse being heaped on me by such luminaries as Crawford and Bob can only indicate that my star is fast rising!
    Soon I'll be paid to attend parties, will quit my job, show up at all the events and buy drinks for the house!
    BTW, Crawford, I looked for my badge and all I found was my AARP card. You know what that looks like, so call and tell me the difference!
