    Augie Hiscano unexpectedly passed away this week. He was a three time National model car building champion.

    A real loss to the model car world.

    I didn't know the man, but I've lost friends in modeling myself (like Mike Rastiello, an excellent aircraft modeler and a guy who was always upbeat), so I know what you're feeling.

    Augie's models appeared on the cover of all the model car magazines. The National Championships are in Salt Lake next week, there will be a memorial service for a guy that never stopped smiling, and always was available to tell you his secrets.

    I don't have any photos, but I would imagine if you go to the websites of all the major model mags, you would find a photo of Augie's work.
