Naughty trunk

On my Cali T the trunk unlocks but goes click , click click and doesn’t go up properly. Anyone know why ? Thanks james in San Antonio Tx

 

From the perspective of a Portofino owner,the fob's trunk lock/unlock button doesn't work properly until the car's electronics have had a few seconds to warm up after unlocking the car. Can you be more specific about just when your problem occurs?

 

My Cali T gives me about 15 seconds after pushing the unlock button on the door to exit the vehicle and pull the lid up or it will relock. I don't think its a powered lift like an SUV hatch, just unlocks with the remote or door button.

 

Hmmm thanks for response.It used to open completely when you pressed button inside or used remote . Now it unlocks and opens a crack and makes a clicking sound . If you lift it it opens and clicking stops . Wonder if maybe hydraulic struts are worn out and are not assisting truck to open completely? Thanks , james in San Antonio Tx

 

'22 Portofino here and my trunk has never behaved otherwise. The unlock button unlatches, but it just whirrs and clicks unless you physically raise the trunk lid yourself.

 

You got the Italian trunk shocks lol.

 

Same as others, my Portofino M trunk does not open, just unlatches. You have about 15 seconds to get out and open it, then it will stay open. I just open it from the outside when I am standing right there. The hydraulic struts failed on my 458 engine bay and it would just fall down after being opened.
