Hi, Currently have a 2010 Cali and the Navi system is on version 882 if that even is a version (got it from system info on the navi) I done some research and believe the manufacturer is a company called gracenote but cant find any updates on their site. I been reading some Chrysler forums that have said 882 is a 2009 version and the new version 2012 has many updates and is able to steam Bluetooth music on iPhone and has as a UK map update which i def need!. Any insight into what the latest version is before i send it to a dealer and what the extra features are. If any one knows a away to DIY it that would also be appreciated. Thanks!
bend over and have a credit card on ready... :=) OEM nav units are neat toys, but the OEM channel has their way with you when it comes to getting updates...IF and WHEN any become available... the OEM channel also is very slow moving... updates can be stale by the time they get to you... I can't justify getting an onboard GPS, they are very primitive, especially when compared to a smart phone GPS that constantly updates with most current info ( although as a GPS they are near imposible to use when driving ) $100 or so will get a Garmin or any other brand stand alone GPS with FREE life time upgrades almost instantly... the GPS market has become very competitive... even BETTER your smart Phone GPS is constantly updating with all sorts of information... Use the on board GPS as is, it should get you close... check your smart Phone for details / changes / traffic updates ...better solution
