A quick run down on why I'm making this thread. Some of you know the picture of the yellow Enzo with a hideous bodykit which is 1,000% photoshop. They made a myspace account and when I made a comment saying it was a photoshop I got this response-

"Actually, try again. The only photoshop used was to put the logo as a watermark in the picture. The car was done in autocad to show what the custom pieces will look like when on the car. The image isn't meant to be a photo OF the real car. Thanks for trying though, pal."

They also posted pictures of the "bodykit" which is supposed to go on a real Enzo. Who in their right mind would put this on their Enzo? The dimensions are way off and it is made out of wood!! Approach with EXTREME caution!! I highly doubt Navigator's Run is legit...

BTW here is the original picture- http://www.swisscarsightings.com/zenithtrackdayadria2005/Ferrari%20Enzo%201410.jpg

They used autocad and all they could come up with is that piece of garbage? Very embarassing to say the least.

Not to mention that "prototype" wouldn't make it over a pebble in the road with that front spoiler...

And what happened to the headlights?

    Some more messages...

Not yet. Our company is obtaining one soon and the custom car should be ready by March they're saying. I'm still waiting on a little more information from the person supplying the car, but I should know more soon.

Were you the original photographer of the image? A guy named Isaac contacted me and said the original photographer wanted the image removed because it was copyrighted. The guys at Area 51 who do the design and who created that image claim the picture is theirs. However, I looked at the original image and saw the watermark clearly shows it was taken by someone else. I'm trying to get in touch with Area 51 right now about the copyrighted image.

Yes. Area 51 is building that car for me for Navigator's Run. Thats the car I'll be driving on the rally. What you see is the actual body kit put on the car.

honestly, i wish him the best luck with his run, and this Area 51 group the best luck... but with a little more integrety and honesty. I am a long time friend of Matteo's who owns www.Swisscarsightings.com; and have been in contact with him since I saw speedracers' post here about it.

At first contact, things looked iffy; but he's much more compliant once he saw Matteo's site, and watermark, as well as questioning Raefeal's (of area 51 kustoms) scruples.

I'll update this as I find out more.

if you take even a second to look at the horrible photochop and the "body kit" that is being "built" in someones backyard (HAHAHAHAHAHAHA thats a joke in itself) there are huge differences. the nose is not even close, not to mention the rear of the car is no where close to the chopped pic. its always funny to call out people fakin' the funk......

    Hello,

By now it seems you all are well aware of who I am -- Mike Beauchamp, the founder of Navigator's Run. One of my participants in the 2007 run, Ashley Van Dyke, pointed out this thread to me.

I would like to clarify a few things that have been said here. Obviously, you would expect the first thing I would say to be that Navigator's Run is not a scam and IS in fact legitmate. Instead of me just making that statement, I would encourage you all to do some checking on the facts. I'll even make that easy for you by providing numerous ways in which you could go about ascertaining that information.

But first, it seems that the main discussion here centers around the picture of Matteo's of the yellow Ferrari Enzo replica car we had posted on our MySpace profile. I see that a few of my emails have been posted here, so you already have some idea of the circumstances, but let me enlighten you directly.

The picture was provided to me by Rafael, of Area 51 Kustoms. His company wanted very much to be a sponsor for our event promoting their replica and custom prototype cars. At the time, I was very eager to bring on any possible sponsor to the event, due to Navigator's Run being a new rally here in the states. Rafael provided the photos that you've seen posted here and possibly on MySpace with Matteo's watermark removed, claiming it was their own work. To be quite honest, I thought the photoshopped image of the car looked unique and intriguing. I don't pretend to know the first thing about building one of these replica cars, so for those who have mentioned that it is made based off of a wooden mold, I don't doubt you. Area 51 offered to provide the finished replica for use in promoting their business. Please understand we are not in any other way affiliated with their company.

My original hope was to be able to accquire a true Ferrari Enzo from a friend of mine for the run. We've decided to go with a different vehicle, the new BMW M5 for our actual official Navigator's Run promo car, so the Enzo discussion honestly has nothing to do with our event any longer. It was an option for us initially and certainly was considered, but will not be acted upon.

That being said, I understand Jason's feelings here on the issue of the photograph. I, however, do not understand the logic he uses to attach the discussion of a replica vehicle not associated with our event to the conclusion he draws that Navigator's Run is not legitimate. As mentioned earlier, I fully intend to provide you all with reasonable proof that the event will take place exactly as stated.

First off, I encourage you to contact our sponsors. On page 110 of the February issue of Makes and Models Magazine, you'll see an ad they created for Navigator's Run. In March, you'll see another ad in their magazine, as well as a 2-page featured story they did on us. After the conclusion of the rally, you'll find us again in their magazine with a full suite of photos from the run, taken by their photographer and a good friend of mine, Scott Wise (Skiz). If you'd like, feel free to contact their Editor, Joe Sabatini with any questions you have on the legitimacy of Navigator's Run.

Another sponsor, WebRidesTV, will be accompanying us on the entire run starting in Kansas City. Feel free to click over to their website, www.webridestv.com. They specialize in video production in the exotic and luxury autos world. First off, you'll see our ad on their homepage and every sub-page within their site. Next, you can contact Greg Harvey, the owner of the company.

Yet another example, a sponsor we just took on called New Era Exotics. You can take a look at their page on MySpace, www.myspace.com/jjw311. The owner's name is Josh. Feel free to message him with any questions you have.

One last example of a sponsor we have that can verify any information I've provided here, is Ken Vrana from www.1in8.org -- a breast cancer foundation dedicated to early detection of cancer in women. Please, take a look at this company's website. You'll find us on the home page and then again as a link at the top of the foundations "Friends" page. If you want to be direct, feel free to telephone him at 919-469-5662. He's in Cary, NC.

Finally, I have been fortunate enough these past few days to speak with Mr. Mario Andretti regarding Navigator's Run. I hope you'll check out our newly designed website and see his excitement and support for the run on the "Friends" page of the site. I received another message from him today, in fact, asking me to send over all the promotional material I have for the event because he would like to help promote it however he can. If you're on MySpace, I encourage you to check out his personal profile. You'll find us among his top friends.

I hope this information has shed light upon the questions, doubt, and negativity you felt towards me personally and the event I produce. I can assure you that no harm was meant by me using the picture supplied by Area 51 Kustoms. As mentioned here, you'll see that I immediately responded to the situation, with question at first, but that we are no longer in any way associated with that photograph.

Verify any and all of this information if you like. I hope you will, in fact. Don't take my word for it -- see for yourself. If you have any more questions, problems, or comments, I'll give you as many methods to contact me personally as you like.

    Kind Regards,

    Mike Beauchamp
