Will they ever play? All of the games through 11/30 have been cancelled. :(
Just got that email from the Blazers ticket services.....at least we aren't being charged for our season tickets that won't get played but this is a bit annoying. Its one of the few parts of fall/winter that keep portland liveable for me!!
Think I'll bump the 2011-2012 NHL THREAD. In good fun. When- - - - ever Hey you in Portland you have good hockey! (Winterhawks?)
They're close to a deal from what I've read. Now it's just a staring contest to see who will budge on the last 1%-2% of BRI. Owners with good teams want to make a deal already. Owners who mishandled their franchises want to milk every last dime from the players. Unfortunately, the bad owners outnumber the good.
Looks like its not going to happen!!! More games cancelled (first half of Dec) and the players have dissolved the union i believe and filing an anti-trust law suit.... Yes we have the winterhawks!! I've gone to a few games and love the fights haha
I'm not a big NBA fan but as a sports fan this sucks. As someone in the New Orleans area this means less Chris Paul before he heads to NY or wherever. Hell if this drags on long enough he might never wear a Hornets uniform again. Just another reason I prefer college over pro I guess.
And I'll plug my new CBB thread: http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=345089 But seriously, will most NBA fans get their fix via college b-ball or do "most" fans not cross-watch with CBB?
Ill just work more lol or drive my fcar. But it is a bit disappointing that the season hasn't happened. It usually makes the winter a little more bearable (skiing does the rest) But now the only place to get out of the rain is a bar and i don't drink that much!
I used to be a big basketball fan, but now I cannot watch it, it makes me sick, there are very few teams that play (or know) the fundamentals of basketball. Seems nobody knows how to dribble, they ALL palm and 'carry' the ball, that's not 'real' basketball.
Lockout is over!!!! http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/basketball/nba-players-owners-reach-a-tentative-agreement-nba-lockout-article-1.982838
I'm VERY sure Blampee would trade with you in a heartbeat! You don't know what 'livable' is until you come here.
http://www.nola.com/hornets/index.ssf/2011/12/new_orleans_hornets_hit_their.html Good...hometown & league owned Hornets just sold more than 10K season tickets for only the 2nd time since moving to New Orleans. Bad...not many of those tickets will be valid for a game featuring Chris Paul. ^yeah, right.
Might as well bump this thread with this: http://www.tmz.com/2012/01/17/dwyane-wade-mclaren-car-crane-miami/#.TxZB9YEr66R Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Jimmer who? Is he the guy holding the ladder? http://www.nba.com/rookie-ladder/ Image Unavailable, Please Login
Give him playing time and he produces. Jimmer isn't going to rack up a ton of points only playing ten minutes.
