    Let the madness begin! I was on my way into work this morning, as I passed the Pepsi Center there was a lot of work going on. I am excited about the festivities happeneing over the next several days but I'm sure traffic will be a nightmare.

    Did you get parking/pass thru paperwork from your building? I did. The traffic will be nightmarish.

    I think I might rent out my loft for the weekend. Probably make some decent money... you could too w/ your rooftop access and all...

    Figure $1000-1500 for the weekend.

    :( no parking pass for me...renting out my place for the weekend? Reminds me of Speedway, Ind and all of the home owners who rent parking space on their lawns during the Indy 500:)

    Indy 500 brings back so many memories. Had a friend who bought a home in speedway for the sole purpose of the 500. I loved the days when you could buy an infield ticket, have a blast partying the whole day, and be able to watch the race. The month of May use to be so great. Skipping school or work, head down to the track to watch the practicing from pit row. Carburetion day, Qualifications, who was on bubble, who won the pole position. But that all changed. The last race I went just wasn’t the same feeling anymore.

    My ex-wife and daughter live about a mile from IRP but I don't know how close that is to the Brickyard.

    IRP is maybe 10-15 miles to the west just over the county line from the Brickyard. Has an oval track and is best know for the U.S. Nationals drag racing.

    Going to the All-Star game or to Indy? If it's the All-Star game, look for our ads playing overhead on the center-court big screens.

    Depends on ones level of dedication. Then again have you ever walked the Brickyard? Also some of the neighborhoods in the area of the brickyard are not the best if you stray too far out.

    I have been to the Brickyard several times but no, I have not walked it...riden in a van around it though:)

    If you're not a fan of the game, that's cool. Contrary to popular belief, the traffic has not been that bad and I've witnessed more rioting just trying to get a drink at a bar:)

    Agreed. We had tickets to Shaq's party and decided not to go... went out for mexican instead. Traffic in and out of riverfront hasn't been bad at all- besides the "limo only" lane.

    Brother saw a Black Carrera GT today here in downtown...

    Wow, for some reason I expected a lot of traffic and rioting (only cause it's the "cool" thing to do these days). I just remember hearing about all the bad stuff in Atlanta last year (then again, it's Atlanta).
