On the upside, the crowds at COTA have been impressive for the build up to the USGP. Friday and Saturday crowds reported to be 80+K with 100+K expected for today's race. This sure beats the crowds at Korea, India, Bahrain, etc. where F-1 plays to 100K empty seats each year. Someone better be paying attention in the F-1 offices. BHW
I sat down this morning to watch qualifying and doh! Here I am to commiserate. Glad I checked here before letting the real race slip through my fingers on NBC. Now I can delete the encore they are showing on NBCS, which probably would have left half the race on the cutting room floor anyway...
Did'nt you all see the tension, the strength, the teamwork, I was on the edge of my seat, during qualifications, for this US round of--------curling. What a bunch of loosers, those at NBC. Going from Q2 with 14 minutes to go to the end results after a commercial, I thought my tv screwed up. I hope thr race is better. THIS JUST IN, VETTAL WON THE RACE.
The NBC incompetence on this is right up there with the healthcare rollout. Having recorded 1/2 hour of curling and been disappointed yesterday, I figured that I would record the overnight broadcast of qualy, so I could see everything. So what did they do? THEY LEFT THE CURLING IN ON THE TAPE DELAY AND CUT OUT Q3!!!!!! GOOD THING TO CUT OUT Q3 so we could see the 3 talking monkeys and the weigh in. Why show on track action when you can show commercials, bumper fluff and chattering heads. Hey NBC that is the equivalent to broadcasting the first three quarters of a football game and then jumping to the coaches handshake. PLEASE GET SOMEONE IN A DECISION MAKING POSITION THAT HAS A CLUE ABOUT FORMULA 1!!!
Very busy yesterday, woke up this morning and my daughter and I were going to watch the qualifying. FAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am amazed in disbelief! Came here to check to see if maybe something was wrong with my DVR, nope just dumbass NBC. Freakin unbelievable!
Yeah I thought something had happened to my DVR when after Q2 they cut to the cars pulling into parc ferme. Bad programming decision by NBC. -F
Unfortunately, that is not the schedule for DISH in Washington State. Quali was not shown until 3:30 pacific. Sounds like a bunch of us got affected. Oh well, can't stand seeing any more Vettle poles.
And who decided to put the three stooges outside for the broadcast? The wind caused interference yesterday, and now today the cars driving by drowns them out. There again, that may not be such a bad thing!
Well guys, it can get worse. The local NBC station has preempted all regularly scheduled programs to give minute by minute coverage of the storms moving through Chicago. This could go on for another hour, so there goes my race coverage.

NBC sports is a ****ing joke. They are broadcasting Curling. CURLING!!!! WTF!!! At least the Spanish channel 1054 on Cox in Phoenix is showing the race live
Unless you live in the Chicago area. They are covering the storms for the past two hours. I have been watching it on the Spanish station from the start.
