Does anyone have or know of anyone who has a set of STRAIGHT eared knockoffs for a 206 & early 246? Thanks, Steve
Wierd stuff like that, you'd better find Tom S., ........if Ferrari UK Classic Parts doesn't have them....
call 1-800-shaughnessy!~~ actually can email him gt40mirage AT aol.com If anyone has 'em he does. Dave (If not, maybe you can get them from La Scuderia Rossa.)
God help you. Last time I heard of ONE for sale, it was $600., about 4 years ago. Probably unobtainium now, though if anyone can find them, I would agree that's it's prob Tom S. If you have unexpected good luck, let us know!
Yeah, but they're on my 206 and I doubt you want to buy the car to get the wheels? However, I could be wrong, that's just my opinion.
Keep in mind that while all 206GT cars had straight knock offs, at some point the "L" series cars started using curved knock offs. My car is a 246GT "L" (S/N 00542) and has curved knock offs. Dennis McCann would be a good source as well.
Glad to help. Paul Gilpatrick, former FCA president was restoring an "L" series Dino some years ago and found a complete set of curved knock offs. You should check with him. Best of luck, Keith
I bought a set of very nice straight ones for $300 for all 4 on Ebay and I thought I paid too much, reading above about expecting to pay $600 for one makes it sound like I got my set cheap. Didn't even have to chrome them, some polish and on the car they went. Hint: the FIAT Dino used the same knockoffs and they are much cheaper than the Ferrari ones, just as impossible to find but much cheaper when they think its a FIAT only part
I have a spare set for my 67 Dino Spyder 2L that I had re-chromed. I will have to dig them up and see if I need to keep them. PM me if you run out of options. Andrew
