I've found a red on tan 328. The driver's seat has a thumbnail-size blemish caused from entry and the carpet is faded with age. There is also a thumbne ail-size tear between the drivers and passenger seats.

Questions: 1.) If I replace the interior upholstery and/or seats through a competent upholstery house, will it affect the resale value of the car? Will it improve the value?

2.) Are factory carpets and upholstery available somewhere?

    Thanks!

I ordered a carpet kit from GAHH and replaced all the carpet myself.
I also had a local upholstery shop re-do my seats and door skins.

Will it affect the resale value of the car?

Well, which would you rather buy, a car with faded original carpet
and torn original seats, or a car with fresh carpet and leather?

IMO a fresh interior (that uses/matches the stock materials in look and cost) is always a plus compared to a tattered original interior -- or were you thinking "ostrich would be cool"? ;)

World Upholstery (http://www.worlduph.com/ferrari.htm) and ReOriginals have also been mentioned along with GAHH as good sources for seating or carpet "kits" that your local upholstery shop can install. But I'd also give FerrariUK a chance to quote price/availability since they cover your model.

I agree... it's just that in my search for a car, everyone I talked to said: "Everything's original"

I just don't know how important "all original" is...

How much did it cost do redo your doorskins? I got a quote of $950 a door and I thought that that was a bit high.

If I remember right, I had both seats done as well as the matching leather for each door for under a grand total.
And I have an extra skin incase I need to have repairs done.

I used GAHH for my new carpet. I think it looks great and it was fairly easy to install.
