For those of you who have the tech manual, I need the page showing how to access the removal screws/bolts for the panel behind the seats covering the seat belt assemblies. I have to get into mine and unravel a fold and check the take-up springs. This is for a 348 TS.

    Thanks in advance.

Daniel, graphic 1 is close. That shows the Euro version with the belt retainers mounted outboard of the seats. We have ours between the seats. The question is how to remove the interior panel covering them, located above the carpeting behind the seats. It's behind and above Item 22.

There are 2 small upholstry screws, one on each side located inside the sails on the "floor" of the panel there, behind the seat back. They do not release the upholstered panel, however, to access the seat belt retainers. FBB showed me some holes thru the firewall that may be where I need to locate some screws/bolts fastening the interior panel to the firewall. Of course, his is a race car with none of these items in place.

Vince: There are two long studs on the back of upholstered panel, and these extend through the firewall into the engine compartment, and are secured with nuts. You need to look right between the two plastic coolant tubes on the firewall, about 2" OUTBOARD of the engine lid struts, to find the nuts. They aren't easy to see, but they're there. The panel comes right off once the hardware is removed.
