Anyone got a source? Pierce is closed and I'll try them on Monday.

    Thanks

    Hello,

    what happened to yours ?
If you get stuck, you can also try TRutlands or www.eurospares.co.uk who sell used parts.

    Best Regards from Germany

I broke the mounting ear for the float off when I was pushing the pin out. I guess I'm not the first one to do this as the few places I've called looking for one all asked "Did you break the flout mounting ear?" before I said anything!

I would NEVER recommend this, but in my mis-spent youth I did the same to a 40 DCOE on an Alfa 1300 coupe and fixed it with JB weld. Never had a problem. Submitted for entertainment value only.

I thought about that but I may have found one for ~$40 so why risk it.

    Hello Sean,

glad, that you may have found one. But I'm curious, because it's always good to know where to obtain such 'rarities' in emergency.
Where did you find that carb top ?

    Best Regards from Germany

    Martin

    Well I'd thought I'd found one at Superformance.co.uk but it's a 4-bolt top.

Anyone else have a source for one? I've called all over. Several people are looking but no one has called back.

Pierce said they just weld them up but, yikes, pot aluminum doesn't weld very good.

I really want to get my car back onto the road.
