    Does anyone happen to have photos showing what's behing the dash, particularly how the steering wheel connects to the steering rack? Also a couple photos showing what's underneath the center section in between the seats. Many thanks.

    What SN TR (they changed the steering column several times)? I can post the relevant TR SPC page in a few hours showing the steering rack and the steering column bits (although if someone else has it handy, please post and save me some work ;)).

    Here's a shot of a (my) disassembled US TR. The various components under the central tunnel are:

    forward area = seat belt ECUs
    middle area = switch panel wiring and shifter mechanism
    rear area = seat belt mechanisms and shifter shaft linkage going to gearbox

    No, I don't have anything else, but I think the firewall is fairly close to the ends of the silver seat belt motors shown in that photo.
