    Not for me. My dumbass brother married a girl last september after we all told him not to. As expected, they are splitting up.

    They don't have much (maybe this is good), but they do have wedding debt, and since he is a NYC cop, he will have pension rights, etc., that no doubt she will try to get (did I mention that she was a goldddigger...). I just want to make sure that he is not stuck with all of the debt., etc. He is trying to be nice to her, which I think is a big mistake.

    He has consulted with 1 lawyer, but I don't know how good he is. Was hoping maybe someone in this section might know of a good lawyer.

    Tell your brother to spend the money and avoid the PBA Attorneys.

    Dont quote me on this, but I believe since they were only married 8 months, she might only be entitled to a very small portion of his pension. Since it is based on a 20 yr retirement and they were only married a short time , I cant see it being in her interest to fight for such a small amount. But who knows. Like you said, she is a GOLD DIGGER!!!!!!!

    Married 8 months she will not be entitled to **** - unless there is a child involved or there were assests accumulated during the marriage...
