Can you take some pictures of the fuel pump fuel accumulator mount, lines, and hoses all of this is located at the RH front of the engine.

I need to order all of these parts but Id like to see what it looks like installed on a car.

    Johnny,

I got a 81 GTSi, but I cannot help you until I get back to my home on Friday. I live on one side of Germany and work on the other. Commute only on weekends.

PM me Friday if someone doesn't beat me to helping you.

This might not be so easy because a lot of the hardware is obsolete (the hard lines, the fuel pump with the non-replaceable check valve, some 308i used 2 filters and some used 1 filter, etc.). If you're looking to build something that works well, I'd suggest using as much of the 328 setup as possible (because it uses a single filter and the fuel pump with the replaceable check valve and banjo fitting line). I'll post some things that I've saved from others, but you should also be using the SPC figures as a reference (try RicambiAmerica if the FerrariUK site isn't still working yet).

A fuel pump/accumulator set-up from something in the '81-'83 timeframe IIRC (the hard line and the fuel pump will be unobtanium):

Can you get me the part numbers for that shot of the 328 fuel system.

I Appreciate the pictures thats what I was looking for.
I have my part book and have looked for these parts found a bunch on ricambi but id like to cross reference your part numbers and see what I come up with.

I have already purchased a correct fuel pump for the 82 FI car it is a bosh part number that I found here in the parts thread.

    Thanks a bunch!

Ditto on the parts numbers for me too, please. Did not realize this was such an issue on the GTSi.

You can look them up for yourself at RicambiAmerica:

Not sure that all this 328 stuff will be available either, but would be my approach.

Was your 308i poorly modified in this area, or had it just become degraded, or something else?

I'm sure that there are plenty of 308i out there working just fine in this area -- and it isn't something that I'd rush to change if my stock 308i system was in decent shape. However, look at that 2-filter 308i system -- has ~10 high pressure threaded fuel connection just in the filter area, and where those small hard lines are brazed into the fittings might be prone to cracking. Much improvement on the 328 system with the single and larger hard line, and the reinforced flexible supply line with threaded end fittings going from the accumulator to the filter inlet is way better than that clampless plastic Cohline line. JMOs.

No i bought it with a known issue with the fuel pump, I knew that some items were missing but once I got it home everything in between the hose comming off the LH fuel cell up to the line comming off of the fuel filter was gone.

So im tracking down the parts.

I found the part numbers on ricambiamerica, seems that accumulator to pump hose is not available for the 328 anymore.

I can get the hard line made at work I just need to know the size of the fittings. Im also waiting to hear from some salvage yards to see if they have any off of 2v 308 or a mondail the are the same part numbers.

I'm not sure -- it might still be a work-in-progress at RA. I've noted that they've just recently added a lot of the earlier F model SPC, but I don't get the some of the pictures when I click on the "308GTB/GTS" tab under "parts catalogs" (e.g., page 12 exhaust) -- but the fuel stuff is there:

    http://www.ricambiamerica.com/article_info.php?articles_id=2167

(Sure wish the Owners Site would get the SPCs back up too!)

Yes, not a part that would usually need to be replaced over the life of the car, nor in a crash, so not ever much need for spares (and especially after ~20 years ;)). If you can't get a used 328 part, you might be able to adapt/use the flexible line from a TR that runs from the fuel pump to the hard line to the accumulator (123785 or 124155) -- it will have the correct banjo fitting on one end, but the other end may, or may not, fit the accumulator fitting directly (but still might be less hassle than a custom line).

Wow, I guess you could call that "a known issue with the fuel pump" ;) -- but just a joke -- sending you all possible positive mojo to get it sorted/repaired/working!

I have the fittings here. Call me and I can figure out what you need and send it to you. Also the pump, accumulator, and filter are Mercedes parts, as is fuel distributor and injectors.
