    A friend of mine would like to buy a home in the east bay area. He has good credit and a few bucks for a DP. Since he is a first time buyer, I encouraged him to get a broker.

    My father in law has been a mortgage broker for over 20 years and is based in Emeryville. He's one of the greatest men I know and I can't recommend him highly enough.

    I think you should also shop around to find the best deal. Right now, alot of the residential properties are pretty expensive so finding one of a good value and finding the loan to purchase it is very important. One of client is one of the top mortgage brokers in the bay area. his name is Donald Kung and he owns a company called reliance realty and portfolio lending.You can check out his site at portfoliolending.com and or call me at 650-278-0553 (cell) and i will give you his number as I can't post it.
