    At least it won't rust when the owner drops it in the toilet (most common cause of cell phone failure).

    The Vertu has always had gold and plat. I don't think this is new. Further, unless you want the concierge service, I don't think it's worth it.

    I agree. The price is more for the service, and the phone is luxurious gadget for it. Robb Report had a small article on this phone 1-2 years ago.

    There is no way I'll pay over $600 for any cell phone itself.

    Why a $15k watch? People get what they want. :shrug:

    sidenote: I'm one of those people who wants a $15k watch, but plenty of people will say to me "why?".

    You know, I agree with you to a point.... But, usually, a watch that is $15k + has a complication that justifies the value.

    Personally I think with my need to have pda functions, this phone is a waste. I wouldn't want to carry two devices.
