    Just fyi, if you can't wait for a ricambi radiator cap, just jump down to your local O'Reilly's and pick this one up, fits and works! 13 lbs rating (.9 bar):

    .9 was indeed the original rating on the caps, but the newer 137644 is 1.1 BAR.

    I am neither an expert in thermodynamics nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn last night, but my hunch is it'll work just fine.
