Good morning New York! I just got tickets for December 4th for a show. I have stayed many times in Mid town but want to stay in SOHO this time around for a change of pace. Using the subway system is easy and safe to get into midtown so I am looking for a SOHO hotel recommendation that is convenient to the NQR or the 6 train and is clean and reasonable in the SOHO area convenient to maybe Broadway and Canal or that SOHO vicinity. Open for other ideas too. Tried orbitz/Hotels.com and hotwire so far but its a bit of a mystery as to what you are really getting. Help please. Thanks Jon in Delaware

Would you go down to hipper, trendier Tribeca? My old boss always stays at the Tribeca Grand hotel http://www.tribecagrand.com/ when he comes to NY. I've had drinks in the bar but never stayed there but he raves about the place.

Same people own the Soho Grand on West BWay: http://www.sohogrand.com/

Thanks for the kind effort to lend a hand in finding a good place to stay. And Delaware is doing fine. My kids went to U of D. Great school. Its growing and now host 30k students. It recently required a 100 acre plot of land adjacent to the campus and intends to house a private public partnership. It will be soley focused on green energy initiative. Thanks again. As someone who lives in Soho, this would be my choice as well.
