Need Advice on 348 Read Deck Lid Color

Color of 348 Rear Deck Lid

  1. Keep it orginial black and blue

  2. Paint it all dark blue

    Hey guys
    Please let me know your thoughts PRO's and CON's on the following sceario.
    My rear truck lid on my 348 Spider is black on the area towards the seats and dark blue the color of the car on the grills towards the back of the car.
    From what i understand the 94 models are done this way half black and half the color of the car however they are two different types of paint. the black gets easilly scrathed. I have heard that the 95 348 Spiders were painted all one color but am not 100% sure.

    Question.
    Do I paint it black by the seats and and Dark blue in the back like it is now?
    or
    Do I paint it all dark blue the color of the car?

    I appreciate all input.
    I ahve attached pictures to show current configuration.

    Hi Jean Louis,

    Is your car at Premier Motorsports in LA? I had my 348 in for a detail last week and I say one just like it. Really looked nice. I say paint it blue. I was actually thinking that when I saw it, even before you asked this question.

    Hey Brent yes it is at premier. I am having the front end repainted. I thought i might have the rear deck lid taken care of while the car was away.
    Was yours the red one? If it was, I thought your car was very very clean.

    My car was there all last week. I picked it up on Friday. It is a red tb with 355 wheels. It really looks great after Dave and his crew did their magic on my paint. Wow!!

    I asked the same question a few weeks ago on my 89 348. I took the lid off and had my body shop match it perfect to the rest of the car. No more black! Makes the car look more modern and a thousand times better.

    What is the name of the shade of Blue on you car Kevin? That is the shade of Blue I would prefer for a 348 Spider... Yes, I will be in the market to buy a 348 Spider soon. No, I'm not asking you if you are selling yours!
