Silver is always sharp. Lots of good choices but I'd go silver.

    BLACK/BLACK looks the best IMO.

Whatever color you go with, enjoy it. It's an awesome car!

Silver is always the best choice. Black looks great for about a week, but it's all down hill from there.

I like sprint blue but I think the blacks and grey pearls look best on the S5 (i like that "quartz" one).

I would go with the dark gray, personally. Silvers/grey carry light so well, so it will always look great.

That said, I have spent some time with one lately and it looks amazing in red, really aggressive. Those LED's are fantastic. Great choice, I'm sure you will enjoy it!

Is there anyone that orders new German cars (in particular) NOT in a shade of silver or black? I say be unique. Black cars not only show dirt, but more importantly they don't show off the details of the car. I say go with a tan or lighter interior too. All black interiors are just too drab in my opinion. That's a great car by the way, congratulations on however it gets spec'd out with!

I agree, passed on silver this time. It's too me-too, although it never looks bad.

White/tan on my new TT below. Might look good on an S5, as it is also a coupe.

I initially wanted black, but the S4s I've seen in black don't let the lines of the car show much. I think the dark blue metallic being offered would be very nice. But...I guess I've got no guts and I've order Ice Silver Metallic on Black. Can't wait; should be here in November.

+1 - I saw a black A5 whilst out shopping earlier today and it IMHO it looked dissapointingly bland and slab-sided as the strong line that runs from the front headlamp to the rear flank didn't show much at all which seemed to emphasise the height and visual weight of the door/side of the car. Strange how black hides the lines of some cars but not others - I also saw a black AM V8 Vantage about 5 mins after the A5 and it looked just as fabulous as all the other Vantages I've seen...

After a long wait, my S5 finally arrived. Picked it up today--amazing work of art and engineering! Here it is just off the truck.

Nope, just the new 3M film with logos. Keeps the paint nice for the next owner.

It's unwrapped now, electronics activated, plastic braces removed from the springs (noticed the high ride height in the photo). It is all-too-common ice silver; I agree it is ubiquitous, but it really looks fabulous. Now that I have the car and have really studied it up close in the flesh, it think the best color is the dark metallic blue. It would also look good in red, but the flat colors won't flatter it as much.

I thought I'd be able to just sneak it into my work parking lot and no one would notice it between the other silver or charcoal bmw, lexus, m-b, etc parked there. Not so--swarm of people around it and asking about it. The low, wide stance with almost "chopped" window line, 19" wheels, and grimacing front end make it look extremely aggressive compared to the other german fare.

As far as performance goes, it is really a fabulous GT. Zero to 100 to zero is amazing; brakes are Porsche-like--really yank you into the belts. Yet driving to the supermarket is quite comfortable. So far I'm very pleased. I don't know if my dealer is telling the truth or not, but he says they have a deposit for a second one but can't get it for seven months. For the S5 demand seems to be higher than supply at the moment.
