Hi Guys, Question to get advice. As I understand this is fairly common, so hoping for a tip. On the rear corner of my driver door glass window by the mirrors in my 348 Spider is a triangular piece of trim. On the inside of this trim is a rubber seal that the windows travel in. The rubber seal keeps getting folded in and is working against the window from going up smoothly and fast. What can I do to fix it? Roll the window all the way down and simply use fingers or plastic trim tool so it allows the window to travel without folding or do I need to go further? On the good note, I fixed the door switches so they all finally light up! I bought new switches. The old ones still worked, but no longer illuminated. Thanks very much!
Post a picture of the seal. Is it split apart? Not sure if the seal is part of the triangle or not. My switches are mostly lit except one switch does not illuminate and the spring seems to have snapped off. It still works but has a lot of play. Any parts source for the window switches?
Hi Dave, I don't think it's split. It just folds in. On the switches Daniel at Ricambi or Eurospares have them.
Ok. I rolled down the window and have cleaned the rubber part. There is only 1 rubber seal on the outside of the door window. I simply held the piece of the rubber seal in place while I moved up the window and it all sits correctly.
